Please review some house rules to keep in mind while on location for our Estate Sales:
~ The line waiting to enter the sale must monitor itself – please respect other shoppers by not cutting in line or holding places for others (not in attendance). As well please be courteous to neighbors on the street and don’t park in front of mailbox or driveways. Be careful not to hit other customer cars or damage property. The police will be called. In addition, please don’t park in the estate drive way unless you are loading large item.
~ If you arrive within 30 minutes of a scheduled opening the line may already be moving and people coming and going from the sale. Before we open a sale we evaluate the line outside and weather conditions. If a buildup of people and cars poses as an issue for the neighborhood, or if it is extremely cold outside then we may begin letting customers in. Short hand version – if there are 20 people in line the sale will probably start at the stated time. If there are 60 people in line, the sale may open 15 to 30 minutes early. This is always at the discretion of the Estate Sale Manager on site.
Things to Keep in Mind While Shopping:
~ You are a guest in someone’s property while at the sale, please respect it.
~ Homes are sometimes for sale or rent – feel free to ask.
~ The families that hire us are anonymous – please do not ask personal questions as a respect to their privacy.
~ Be courteous to everyone: neighbors, other shoppers, and sales staff.
~ Everything is “as is, where is”. Once you purchase something, it is your responsibility to remove it from the sale before it ends.
~ Do NOT pull tags or stickers off items – a price not appearing on items does not constitute it as “Sold” (so feel free to ask). Only a staff member can mark an item as sold and only AFTER it has been paid for.
~ If you create a “hold pile”, it is done so at your own risk. Staff members are not responsible for monitoring hold piles. If a hold pile becomes a hindrance or impedes other shoppers it will need to be paid for and removed or relinquished back into the sale.
~ All sales are final – no warranties or refunds are issued. Test items, look for all the parts/pieces, and know the measurements of what you need. Once an item is paid for it is the responsibility of the buyer to remove it from the property.
~ If you purchase an item and need to pick it up later – it must be done during the sale’s hours of operation. If the sale ends on the final day and an item remains on the property, it will be considered abandoned and dealt with as deemed fit. Please make sure your phone number is on your receipt, so we can assure you are able to pick up your items. Sale hours are always posted on our website and the front door – please default to it if you have a question about the sale’s closing time.
~ Use caution while on the property: We are not responsible for accidents or injuries. Please be on-guard for steps and items coming in, once inside, and leaving a sale.
~ Forms of payment: Cash (preferred and faster for checkout), Debit/Credit Cards are accepted with no fee up to $500.00, over $500.00 will be charged a 3% processing fee. No Checks Accepted.
~ There is no restroom available for use – so please don’t ask and plan accordingly before leaving your home or office.
~ Team members are utilized in the house and are not able to help load items out. Please bring help with loading purchased items. Tipping is encouraged if a member of the staff is able to give you a hand.
~ Children need to be watched at all times – please be mindful, that you will be responsible for any items that are damaged or broken in the home.
~ No animals please (though we love them). Sales take place in a private residence and the owner reserves the right to refuse entry to any animal. If you have a service animal please check with one of our staff members so we can accommodate you.
~ Don’t make fun of the merchandise or make negative comments. We reserve the right to refuse service to any one that is disruptive, disrespectful, or otherwise does not follow our estate guidelines and will be ask to leave, remember you are a guest in someone home.
~ Please remember that sitting on furniture for long periods of time that you have no interest in buying hinders other customers from purchasing the item.
~ Don’t make a mess. Did you bring something into the house from a garage or shed that’s dirty, rusty, or oily? Please don’t set this item down on a carpet, rug, or fabric.
Terms & Conditions of Sale:
CASH is always Preferred, We accept all major credit and debit cards – VCS Estate Services does NOT charge our customers to use their Credit or Debit card up to $499.99 after that a 3% charge will apply. Dealer Company checks accepted with property ID only. No Personal Checks. Utah State law requires that we collect Utah State Sales Tax. Everything is sold AS-IS, No returns, refunds, exchanges or warranties. The homeowners and VCS Estate Services are NOT responsible for any accidents or personal injury inside or outside the property. We reserve the right to limit occupancy of the household for crowd control and we reserve the right to ask anyone being disruptive or disrespectful to leave the premise. NOTICE: All estates are under 24 Hour Video Surveillance, and if anyone is caught shoplifting from our clients we will contact the police and prosecute. Please bring help with moving, hauling & loading of items purchased for the estate, due to our insurance requirements we cannot assist you with heavy items. All items must be removed from the residence by close of the sale or will items will be removed and disposed of. As with ALL ITEMS Vehicles are sold AS IS No Warranty Expressed or Implied. VCS Estate Services does not warrant the accuracy, genuineness, authenticity, condition of any of the items our client offers for sale, as we strive to research & inspect items to the best of our knowledge. You are buying an item or item in AS IS Condition and you also understand and agree that there are No Charge backs or Refunds. All Sales are Final.
